The United States District Court, Missoula Division, has a law library and work stations with computers. Interns work on active court cases and receive instruction and guidance from the Judge and court staff. Duties include legal research, oral presentation and discussion of work in progress, and drafting of advisory memoranda and court documents. Interns also observe a variety of pretrial conferences, settlement conferences, hearings, criminal proceedings and trials.

Prerequisite: Students applying should attach their resume and an anonymous writing sample of no more than five (5) pages to their application.
