Teaching with Technology
Classrooms are evolving rapidly. University systems now commonly integrate classroom and information technology into the learning space. Wireless connectivity allows students to research issues during class. Students now routinely review and submit course information and contact professors online. The classroom itself has become a technological epicenter that allows students to view court proceedings and allows lecturers to vist via videoconferencing. Students now have the ability to repeat lectures by accessing streaming audio and video online. Some professors now require students to prepare video presentations. Faculty may now review such student projects on class webpages and need not handle multiple types of video media.
Here are some suggestions for possible information technology integration into your classroom discussions, research, and coursework:
Tablet PCs -OneNote- Video Conferencing - Podcasting - Blackboard - PowerPoint - Meeting Room Manager
Microsoft Office OneNote 2003
Faculty often use OneNote software for collaborative editing and legal writing classes. Small groups of students can quickly and easily join OneNote sessions so that the professor and all students may simultaneously edit a common document.
