Dean Munro to Speak at 33rd Annual PIELC
This Friday, March 6, Interim Dean Greg Munro will serve as a panelist at the 33rd Annual Public Interest Environmental Law Conference (PIELC) in Eugene, OR. Dean Munro will be speaking on “Insurance and Climate Change” and will discuss the impact, both present and future, of climate change on the insurance industry and how the industry has the potential to be a major catalyst behind efforts to mitigate climate change.
The PIELC unites thousands of activists, attorneys, students, scientists, and community members from over 50 countries around the globe to share their ideas, experience, and expertise. This year’s theme of the conference is the “Changing Currents” that drive our climate system.
