Professor Bryan to Speak at Drought Symposium
Professor Michelle Bryan will speak at the University of Oregon School of Law’s upcoming event, Drought in the American West: A Symposium on Law, Policy, and Science. The day-long event to be held Friday September 25, 2015 will address the western drought crisis from a series of interdisciplinary perspectives within larger questions of property rights and the role of government in this crisis. It will feature water resource professionals from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds.
Professor Bryan will present on the Land Use & Natural Resource Clinic’s model law that addresses local government integration of water supply and climate planning into community land use planning. Clinic students and Professor Bryan drafted the model law during the 2014-2015 academic year.
