Grant Awarded to School of Law
The Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation (RMMLF) is a collaborative, educational non-profit organization dedicated to the scholarly and practical study of law relating to mining, oil and gas, water, public lands, energy, environmental protection and other related areas.
The Foundation awarded a grant to the Blewett School of Law for a research project on conservation agreements and their application to the conservation status of species. Professor Martha Williams applied for the grant requesting funds for a graduate student in the School of Forestry and Conservation, a graduate student in the School of Journalism, and law students to work collaboratively in their research. The students and Professor Williams will publish an article detailing the results of their study with a practical guide to entering conservation agreements.
