Anne Sherwood ’17 Receives Ms. JD Fellowship
For the second consecutive year a Blewett School of Law student has received the Ms. JD Fellowship. Anne Sherwood ’17 is one of fifteen law students nationwide to receive the award.
According to Ms. JD, students are selected based on their academic performance, leadership, and dedication to advancing the status of women in the legal profession. The winners reflect a full range of diverse interests and backgrounds, with women pursuing opportunities in public interest, academia, and private sector in every region of the country.
The Ms. JD Fellowship was created in 2010 in partnership with the ABA Commission on Women in the Profession in order to promote mentoring and professional development for future female attorneys.
“It is my hope that this Fellowship will help me address the challenges facing women in the profession and share that experience with my classmates and colleagues,” said Sherwood.
For receiving the Fellowship, Anne will have the opportunity to attend the annual Ms. JD Conference in spring 2017 in Chicago, Illinois. For more information on the Ms. JD Fellowship and to read Anne’s bio, visit the Ms. JD webpage.
