LAW 693

So, what's in a name, legally, that is? How about a logo, design, slogan, domain name, or unique product packaging? When can a business use the ® or ™ symbol? And, who is this "Thomas McCarthy" that the Courts seem to worship? Attend UM's Trademark Law to learn the answers to these burning questions, the legal rights and boundaries for the creation and protection of trademarks, as well as standards for "the likelihood of confusion." The class will include the practical aspects of registration and licensing, as well as the litigation of infringement and ownership issues. An absolute must for those focusing on business law and commercial transactions.
