Oxygen Concentrators

Our atmosphere is made up of approximately 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen.

Oxygen concentrators are electrically powered air separation devices that produce an output of 90 to 95% oxygen. The oxygen concentrator takes room air, filters it and passes it through a molecular sieve.

Oxygen passes freely through the molecular sieve, while nitrogen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, water vapor and hydrocarbons are trapped. This process produces “oxygen enriched air” that flows to an accumulator, and then to the oxygen therapy equipment. Although the concentrator filters oxygen from the surrounding air, it will not affect the normal amount of oxygen found in the room.

The oxygen concentrator is ideal for clients who require continuous oxygen and little portability. A backup supply of oxygen is provided with each concentrator in case of power failure.
