Founded in 1997, our goal is to empower women to achieve gender equality and enhance women’s status at home and in society.  Within that general goal are specific objectives to enhance girls and women’s knowledge and skills; to improve women’s access to resources; and to mainstream women in community development programs.  Our programs for the achievement of these goals include study programs on girls and women’s education needs; training to enhance girls and women’s capability; training to enhance gender awareness for male and female leaders at local levels and the local people as well; develop and disseminate learning resources for women (and men also); and implement community - based projects to improve women quality of life.

As the Vietnam partner for the Women’s Empowerment Project, we look forward to working with both the Vietnamese and American participants on this project.
