Kent State University Bridging Cognitive and Measurement Models in the
Determining sources of item difficulty and using them for selection or development of test items is a bridging task of psychometrics and cognitive psychology. A key problem in this task is the validation of hypothesized cognitive operations required for the correct solution of test items. This issue is addressed in the presentation with examples from testing students' proficiency on algebra tests of simple linear equations. 4:10 p.m. in Skaggs 114 Coffee/treats at 3:30 p.m. Math 104 (Lounge) |
