you know it or not, you have crossed paths with matroids in your mathematical
journey. We introduce the main ideas from Matroid Theory and discuss some
of my favorite matroid gems (i.e. theorems). We will also see some of the
open problems in matroid theory and briefly discuss the major roadblocks
to solving these problems. |
