The
goal of this study was to investigate a middle school coordinated implementation
of Standards-Based Curriculum-Connected Mathematics Project materials
(CMP), new Georgia Performance Standards and the accountability system.
The state of Georgia has replaced its Quality Core Curriculum Standards
with the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS), which are statements of
what is expected at each grade level. The CMP is judged to be a middle
school mathematics curriculum consistent with the GPS. To ensure that
schools and school systems meet their goals, some school districts have
implemented an accountability system. |
