Students seriously interested in becoming proficient in Chinese are encouraged to participate in study abroad programs in China and Taiwan. Every effort is made by the instructors to assist students in choosing from the multitude of options a program that suits both their academic and career needs and their financial situation.

Abundant opportunities exist for study in China for full or half year terms, for beginning Chinese language students to advanced.   Credit for approved work done in China is granted by arrangement with instructors in Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures. For more information, please see:
