Konichwa, ogenki desu ka?

Things are going great so far. It was kinda hard for the first couple days, but my Japanese has already gotten a lot better. I've done lots of things already and taken lots of pictures (which I will attach to this email). I can only do three at a time, so I'll keep send a few each day or something. The second week I was here one of my professors (for the regular classes) took us on a field trip to JAMSTEC. Have ever heard of it? Then...the following week the IPO invited all of us (me and the other exchange students) to be in a festival (omikoshi). We got to carry the shrine. Then there was a huge party afterwards.

The appartments are really nice. It's only 30,000 yen for the rent and the phone is extra. I also decided to pay to have the interntet hooked up in my room. Anyway....I just thought I would say hi and send some pictures.
