• Position: At present, I hold an appointment as Full Professor of Medicinal Chemistry in the Department of Biomedical & Pharmaceutical Sciences and as Adjunct Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Montana (UM).  Prior to accepting a position at UM in 1994, I was a [tenured] Professor of Chemistry at Loyola University of Chicago (1985-1994) where many of my former graduate students earned their degrees.

• Research:  bio-organic, medicinal and synthetic organic chemistry with an emphasis in neuroscience.

• Teaching: Much of my undergraduate teaching experience has been sophomore level organic chemistry.  At the UG senior/graduate level, I instruct medicinal chemistry, heterocycles, bioorganic chemistry and advanced organic and organic synthesis.
