The newly redesigned B.A. addresses the need for students to acquire a more comprehensive understanding of the application of digital technologies in the arts. It combines the critical elements of the story driven Digital Filmmaking specialization with the artistic applications of the Integrated Digital Media specialization. This streamlining will better prepare Media Arts students for the constantly evolving technological environment and provide them with a solid overview and stronger foundation in the integrative aspects of media arts. A proposed B.F.A. to meet the needs of students wishing for a deeper concentration in either Digital Filmmaking or Integrated Digital Media is pending approval for Fall 2010. In addition, the M.F.A. program now offers a specialization in Integrated Digital Media.
