The School of Media Arts Application Requirements
The Media Arts application process will consist of the following components:
1. Digital Video
Tell us, however you wish to do it, what interests you in the program, why you want to join, what life has in store for you after you graduate, etc. Keep this to no more than five minutes, please.
2. Life Story
Tell us a story from your life—humorous, serious, enlightening, mysterious… If you’re in a bind, tell us the first story that comes to mind when you think of your father or mother. This can be submitted in writing or on video.
3. Crisis Story
Write a story of no more than two type-written pages, dealing with a moment of crisis. This can be from your life or fictional. Make sure it has a beginning, middle and an end. Try to make the writing as visually connected as possible.
4. Examples of Artwork
Whatever skills or art forms you might be involved in, send us examples (not your entire body of work). If you paint, send us a couple of photos of some work. If you write, send us your latest work, screenplay, etc.
5. Resume
If you have a resume, send it, too.
6. Self Portrait
Whatever your skill level, whatever the medium, send us a self portrait.
