Amanda Determan is a second-year graduate student in the School of Media Arts' Integrated Digital Media program.  After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Montana's School of Journalism, Determan worked as the Online Producer and Online News Editor at the Independent Record in Helena for almost four years (with one summer in between spent at the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida, as a Visual Journalism Fellow) before deciding to return to school to learn more about motion design and data visualization.
