MMAC has been working for the last year and a half on conducting an institutional self study of our operations, collections, and programs. We just completed phase one of the Museum Assessment Program (MAP), a component of the American Association of Museum's Department of Museum Advancement and Excellence. We will later this year be visited by two peers who will use this self analysis as a basis for reviewing MMAC. This peer review process assists museums in identifying strengths and needs, and helps create a roadmap for accreditation. |
