A special moment in my academic/professional career would have to be getting accepted into the Western Undergraduate Exchange Program allowing me to attend the University of Montana.

Most recently I was really pleased to meet and strike up a relationship with the donor of a scholarship that I have now received two years in a row. I got to meet him at the awards banquet this year and discovered that we have a lot of common interests. He responded to my thank you letter with a reply and part of the manuscript of his life story. Clearly this is not specifically a high academic achievement, but it is a special event in my academic career.

A special moment in my academic/professional life is getting the chance to work with Residence Life for the last 3 years. I have enjoyed every minute of the job and look forward to the benefits it will have on my future.

A special moment for me was when I observed the rehabilitation ward in a hospital and was there when a stroke victim learned to walk again. It was an amazing experience as he developed the strength and ability to move a previously paralyzed part of his body.

Mortar Board nominated me for the Outstanding Senior Award which I received last spring...I'm very proud of this.

The time when I finally decided my major.

A special moment that I have experienced in my academic career is the time I took part in the Foreign Exchange Student Peer program. I met wonderful people that I stay in contact with, to this very day. I got to experience cultures that I never knew about and best of all, I met life-long friends. I would do it again in a heart beat.

My most memorable academic moment was when my college academic life became the center to my life. Everything started to flow together: school work, work, family and friends. I was in all Political Science and History classes and loved what I was learning. I knew at that moment I was studying the right material and getting an education in something I not only loved to learn about but was also passionate in pursuing a higher education in, so I could intertwine it into my professional life after college.
