The UM Women's Choir and University Choir join forces for "Music of Heaven and Earth" Monday May 6th in the George and Jane Dennison Theater.  This concert brings together a variety of styles and moods as these ensembles will perform songs both of an ethereal and other-wordly nature, contrasted with selections of grounded earthliness.  Pieces to be performed include the mysterious O Vivens fons by the 12th century abbess Hildegard von Bingen, Gustav Holst's To Agni (The God of Fire), Heleluyan a traditional Muskogee Indian song, a setting of the beautiful poem Sure on this Shining Night by James Agee, and many other wonderful choral works.
