The University of Montana Summer Conducting Workshop is designed for conductors, music educators, and music education majors no matter what type of ensemble you direct. Daily activities include conducting a live ensemble of workshop participants and members of the UM Symphonic Winds, discussions/lectures, aesthetic movement sessions, chats over dinner, and more. River tubing, backyard grilling, and hiking are workshop traditions. License renewal hours (33) or affordable college credits (2) are offered for educators.

Registration for Conducting Workshop participants will be limited to 25. Applications will be accepted until the workshop is filled. Lectures, discussions, and conducting sessions will be held in-person in an auditorium or outdoors.
