  • COMPASS E-Write is not required if you have taken the ACT Essay, SAT Essay, Montana University System Writing Assessment, or have fulfilled the writing/English requirement as transfer credit.
  • The COMPASS E-Write is offered by appointment at the Academic Support Center (406) 243-7826. The COMPASS E-Write will be incurring a $15 charge in the near future, if you have questions regarding this charge please contact Admissions (406)243-7882.
  • According to the state Board of Regents, all students must satisfy a writing proficiency standard that is demonstrated with a score from ACT, SAT or MUSWA. Students who do not have one of these scores should take the COMPASS E-Write Assessment.
  • For disability testing accommodations for the COMPASS E-Write, contact Disability Services at 406.243.2243.

  • The ALEKS Math Placement Assessment is not required if you have already completed your math class requirement or if you have taken the ACT or SAT.
  • The ALEKS exam can be taken online at www.aleks.com/sign_up using the Course Code: K4VET-DGGQ3. If you prefer to take the test on-campus, you can contact the Academic Support Center 406.243.7826 to set up an appointment.
  • After completing the ALEKS, print out your scores and bring them with you to Orientation or to whichever advising option you choose.

  • Immunization Records must be turned in to the Curry Health Center at The University of Montana with the Pre-registration Immunization Requirements Form.
  • Call 406.243.7882 today to make sure that your Immunization Records are on file before your Orientation date.
  • You will not be able to register for classes without these in your file!

The luncheon fee for guests is $5.00 per person
