Adopt a Family
In November, the OCE will begin its annual effort to serve families living at or below the poverty level in Missoula by collecting gifts for distribution by the Salvation Army and the Poverello Center. Donations may include presents for children, family food and health needs, or gifts for parents, depending on individual family profiles. After we facilitate collections here on the UM campus, goods are transported to the Salvation Army and the Poverello Center where staff will locate and deliver collections to participating families.
Contact Roe at 243-5531, if you would like to help.

UM’s Faculty Senate recently approved the Service Learning Course Designation. Service Learning courses are marked in the Course Offering Directory and on student transcripts. Faculty may request this special designation for courses that contain a community service element.
Community agencies are encouraged to articulate need for service learning projects. Read more about how to incorporate a service learning course at your community agency.
For more information on the Service Learning course designation, please contact Andrea Vernon at andrea.vernon@mso.umt.edu
