Hey, Student,

Did you know that there is an entire team of people at the University of Montana whose main responsibility is to help you pay for college? Totally true. Here is a quick message from the folks who work in the Financial Aid and Student Accounts offices.

At UM, we encourage every student to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at least once. Even if you think you will not qualify, you might be surprised at financial support you could receive. The form is free to file and you are under no obligation to accept the aid offered.  Submit your FAFSA here.

If you are currently enrolled in classes, here are some important dates regarding your fall registration bill:

  • July 6 – Registration bills available to view in Cyberbear after 1 p.m. MST
  • 19 – First payment deadline to avoid an $80 late fee
  • 27 – Final payment deadline to avoid cancellation of classes

For information on deferred payment plans and other important details please visit the Student Accounts website.

And don’t forget —  first-year students should complete Online Bear Tracks and register for New Student Orientation, while transfer students should complete the Online New Student Orientation.

Talk to you soon, Griz!
