If you're unsure as to which track you want to attend, you can use the following rules of thumb to help you decide. Also, we have no problems at all if you jump back and forth between tracks as long as there is space.
Beginner Track:
Those attending the Beginner Track of Portlets2007 should be proficient in HTML and have a basic understanding of Java (or another similar programming language). Basic knowledge of SQL will also be helpful.
Advanced Track:
Attendees of Portlets2007 planning on joining the Advanced Track will need a stronger knowledge of Java and Object Oriented Programming. They will also benefit from an understanding of general web development, the portal server environment, and some basic SQL.
