What To Bring
Laptops:
Because this is meant to be a hands on learning conference, attendees will be expected to bring a laptop. As long as you’re in the neighborhood of the specs listed below, you should have no problems.
- 1 GHz processor
- 512 MB of Memory (1 GB recommended)
- about 400-500 MB of free hard drive
- Wireless internet capabilities
Software:

In order to get on the University of Montana’s wireless network, you must download our VPN client as well as a wireless profile.
- JDeveloper - Download Here
JDeveloper is a free IDE that can be used for developing portlets. For Portlets2007 this will be our development environment. JDeveloper can be downloaded from Oracle’s web site.
