Provost

The Provost is the chief academic officer for The University of Montana as well as a key member of the President's Cabinet, and his or her most important duty is oversight of the academic operations of the University. The Provost oversees many important functions on campus, including assessment of academic programs, curriculum changes, evaluation of faculty, the Provost's Distinguished Faculty Lecture Series, and the New Faculty Orientation Program, among many others.

The search committee has selected three finalists for on-campus interviews:

Perry Brown

Dan O'Hair

David Pittenger

For more about each candidate, click his name.

Open Forums will be held with each finalist, one for faculty and one open to the entire campus. You will hear from each about his vision for UM's academic affairs and will have the chance to ask questions. Click here to download an evaluation form or click here to submit one online.
