Message to Campus from the President

Campus Community,

I write to announce an exciting new campus event: UM Employee Recognition Day, April 27, 2011, a day designed to show our appreciation and recognition of all University employees.  The day should be celebrated throughout all campus offices and will conclude with a reception in the UC Ballroom at 3:00 p.m., where we will present this year’s Faculty and Staff Awards.

We all work together to make The University of Montana the great institution that it is.  UM Employee Recognition Day, a combination of past events designed to promote unity across campus, celebrates the great work that all UM employees—faculty, staff, contract professionals, and temporaries—do for the University.

Between now and the event, unit leaders will receive communications from the UM Employee Recognition Day Planning Committee with some ideas on how to recognize the employees under their supervision.

Thank you for your continued dedication and service to The University of Montana.  I look forward to seeing you all on UM Employee Recognition Day.
