The University of Montana's logos are illustrated here. You have several choices depending on your needs. Click on the logos below to download.
Main Logo. This version is the most frequently used logo. It is a combination of the University of Montana wordmark and the graphic element. Make the logo at least 11⁄2 inches wide. Leave 3/16” border around mark.
UM Wordmark. For use with other UM departmental/school/college logos. Make the logo at least 1 inch wide. Leave 3/16” border around mark.
Stretched single-line Wordmark. For use when there is limited space for logo. Leave 3/16” border around mark.
Horizontal M-pulse logo. Horizontal logo for use when there is limited vertical space Leave 3/16” border around mark.
Vertical M-pulse logo. This version is to be used in a more vertical setting when the most frequently used mark cannot be accommodated due to space limitations. Leave 3/16” border around mark.
M-pulse. The graphic element can be used alone only if a wordmark is elsewhere on the same page and the graphic element is altered dramatically in its appearance (ie: screened watermark, different color, or at least 3 times the size it appears in the common logo.) Examples include the cover of this manual.
Main Logo in RGB Color. This RGB logo is for use in programs which do not support CMYK color, such as Word. It is a combination of the University of Montana wordmark and the graphic element. Make the logo at least 11⁄2 inches wide. Leave 3/16” border around mark.
These standard UM Logos are supplied in basic format that can have color applied within each publishing program using PMS 209 or the proper CMYK build. For a small fee, individuals or departments requiring additional logo manipulation, transparency, or color adjustment may contact UM Printing Services for assistance.
