The Public Land & Resources Law Review's mission is to encourage critical thinking and participation in discussions in the areas of public land law, natural resources law, environmental law and Indian law.

First held in 1978, the annual Public Land Law Conference is sponsored by the Law Review and organized by the board of student editors. Traditionally, the Conference centers around a particular legal issue of current interest to practicing attorneys, professionals and students.

First published in 1980 under the direction of Professor Margery Brown, The Public Land & Resources Law Review is currently published annually and circulated to more than 300 subscribers, including law libraries, universities and law firms.

The Public Land & Law Resources Law Review is advised by a National Advisory Board made up of private and government attorneys, law professors, and other professionals from diverse viewpoints advises the editorial board and staff on matters relating to the annual publication and the Conference.

The Public Land and Resources Law Review is a student organization edited and staffed by second and third year law students. The Editorial Board is responsible for writing, editing, and publishing the law review and structuring and organizing the annual conference. Professor Raymond Cross is the faculty advisor.

Students wishing to join the Public Land & Resources Law may apply through the Write-on Application Procedure. The 2007-2008 Editorial Board will select next year's Public Land and Resources Law Review staff based on the quality of case note submissions. |
