Mission Statement
Public Safety Staff

Our mission is to work in partnership with the campus community to provide the most professional, effective public safety services possible. All of this must be done in an environment which is conducive to learning.

There are four main aspects to our mission:

  • Safe and Secure – To create an environment conducive to learning by providing continual patrol coverage, complete case investigation and daily inspection of security systems and equipment. To provide a operational law enforcement agency who’s primary function is to serve and protect the campus community.

  • Crime Prevention – To provide educational programs to the campus which cultivate awareness of and individual participation in reducing opportunities for criminal activity. Target audiences include University Villages children and parents, resident and commuter students and our faculty and staff.

  • Parking – To administer a parking program which accommodates the daily and special event needs of the campus. To maintain a revenue flow which assures the maintenance of existing parking, develops additional parking and provides for alternate forms of campus community transportation.

  • Work Place Safety – To create a perception of individual responsibility for day to day work activities. The use of meetings, reports, programs and recognition of employees will cultivate safe working habits.
