Deadline for IRB Submittals

The IRB Checklist/Application may be submitted to the Office of the Vice President for Research, UH 116, at any time. Please go to the IRB Forms page to secure the most current forms. However, if a proposal must be reviewed by the full committee (sensitive content, vulnerable population, complexity, etc.), please consider the submission deadline of the 1st day of each month and its potential impact on your research, as the process may take up to 60 days.

Deadline for IRB Submittals for Full Committee Review:  1st Day of the Month 

If review from the full committee is required, documents must be received by 4:30 p.m. on the 1st day of the month in order to be sent to the IRB members at least three (3) weeks prior to the monthly IRB meeting. If the 1st falls on a weekend, applications may be submitted the following Monday.  

Principal Investigators will be informed of the results in writing within a week following the IRB meeting.  Applications may be submitted electronically or by hardcopy to the Office of the Vice President for Research, UH 116.
