Summary
The University of Montana provides Microsoft Office 365 to currently enrolled UM students. Each student may install the full suite of software on up to five computers – PC or Mac – and five mobile devices – Apple iOS, Android and Windows Mobile. Microsoft Office 365 is easy to download and install. Access is tied to your UMConnect email address (NetID@umconnect.umt.edu).
Office 365 installation guide
- Before you start, uninstall previous versions of Microsoft® Office.
- Log in to your UMConnect student email account with your email address (NetID@umconnect.umt.edu) and password.
- In Outlook® Web Access (OWA), click on the grid in the upper left, then click the Office link on the right.
- Click Install Office in the upper right corner, select Ofice 365 apps. Includes Outlook, OneDrive for Business, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and more.
- Choose Run or Save.
- The streaming installation will begin.
- A PowerPoint show will display to explain the new features of Microsoft® Office 365 . While the show displays, the installation will continue in the background. Do not go offline or restart your computer until the installation is complete.
