E-Readers and Gaming Consoles

The eduroam network utilizes WPA2 Enterprise-level encryption. Unfortunately, many e-readers, gaming consoles, and other devices reliant on wireless do not support this encryption type and will not work. You should, however, be able to connect to grizzlyguest, the University's unsecured wireless network. However, we do recommend that you utilize a wired Ethernet connection for your gaming consoles if possible, since grizzlyguest is not a very robust wireless network. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you want to know if your device is supported, contact your local TEC or call our office.

Connecting to grizzlyguest

In order to connect to the grizzlyguest network, a device with web browsing capabilities is necessary.

  1. Select grizzlyguest from your list of available networks
  2. Open an internet broswer on your device
  3. You should see a screen from the University of Montana stating the terms of being a guest user on grizzlyguest.
  4. Enter your email address and click the "I accept" button to accept the terms and finish connecting.
  5. You should now be connected to grizzlyguest and able to connect to the Internet!
