Student Advocacy Resource Center (SARC)

SARC Values Statement

We value people of all identities and support every individual’s right to pursue their education free of identity-based harm.  Violence and harm should not be tolerated in the UM community and we believe each of us have a role in preventing identity-based harm. When harm occurs, SARC is here to provide free and confidential support, resources, and referrals to any student who would like our assistance.

How to Reach Us

SARC services are free and confidential to all UM students. Please reach out in whatever way feels best for you.

Our office number is 406-243-4429. You can also email us at sarc@mso.umt.edu.

If you are hoping to connect with a particular member of our team, please indicate that in your message or email. We will make sure your message is delivered!

Our office is open 9am-4pm. UM Students are welcome to come by anytime. If you are hoping to speak with a SARC Advocate, we have walk-in hours 12pm-3pm M-F. Again, you are welcome to come by anytime, but during “walk-in hours” we have SARC Advocates available immediately.

If you need to talk with an advocate after office hours, please reach out to our partners at the Missoula YWCA Support Line at 406-542-1944. They have local advocates available 24/7. We work together with the YWCA to offer support at any time.
