Adopt-A-Switchback for grassland restoration
Get involved in your public lands!
Learn about plants of Mt Sentinel and Mt Jumbo, and help raise awareness of noxious weeds.
Clubs, local schools, and other groups can adopt a section of the M or L trails for weed control and native plant
restoration. Most of the sections have already been adopted on the M trail and tremendous progress has been made! UM will assign your plot, teach you how to identify the local plants, and help you plan a monitoring system to measure your progress.
The plot shown at the left was adopted by the UM Environmental Studies Department, and is shown here after just 24 person hours of work! (That is, 6 people working for 4 hours)
