Events and Trainings


April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and a variety of events centered around the themes of hope, healing, support and unity will take place on campus and in the Missoula community. For more information about these and other events, visit the SARC website.

The Hope Quilt, an artistic patchwork display with messages of support and hope for those affected by sexual violence, will be on the Oval on Tuesday, April 21, at 12:00 Noon.

UM ROTC presents the Stomp Out Sexual Assault 5K on Saturday, April 25, at 10:00 a.m. Intended to raise awareness and teach prevention of sexual assault, the race begins at Schreiber Gym and runs around the University of Montana campus. Sign up online by April 22.

Not in Our State - Statewide Summit on Sexual Assault - Invest in Change, Inspire ActionThe fourth annual "Not in Our State" Sexual Assault Statewide Summit will be held August 19-21, 2015, in the University Center on the University of Montana campus. The Summit will begin with an evening theater performance on Wednesday, August 19, and will follow with two days of didactic workshops and presentations. Professionals, leaders, and students from around the state will participate in an educational training program following national best practices surrounding sexual violence prevention and advocacy. Montana universities and surrounding communities will learn how to empower survivors of sexual violence and to create a campus climate that is free from violence and oppression.
