As part of the 9th Annual Montana Crime Prevention Conference, the Montana Board of Crime Control and the Montana Crime Prevention Association present "I am Domestic Violence," free and open to the public.

The fourth annual "Not in Our State" Sexual Assault Statewide Summit will be held November 8-10 in the University Center on the University of Montana campus. Professionals, leaders, and students from around the state will participate in an educational training program following national best practices surrounding sexual violence prevention and advocacy. Montana universities and surrounding communities will learn how to empower survivors of sexual violence and to create a campus climate that is free from violence and oppression.

Step Up!, a bystander intervention program educating students to be proactive in helping others, begins a three-week series of training sessions at the University of Montana on Tuesday, Oct. 6. Students who attend the training will learn about how to step up when someone else is in need, offer support and call for help. Students who attend the training and sign a pledge to Step Up! will receive a free t-shirt from Residence Life. Eleven student leaders from the UM Residence Life office have been trained on Step Up! material and will present the sessions.
All students are welcome and encouraged to attend. The full schedule is as follows:
