Current Project:

I am in the process of finished a series of articles testing Agnew's general strain theory. The articles focus on stress due to inter-personal problems in the family, their link with self-reported delinquency, and how reactions to family strain vary among male and female adolescents.

Selected Scholarly Work:

The Community, the Family, and the Explanation of Juvenile Delinquency. This paper is currently under review at the American Journal of Sociology. It is a co-authored paper with Carter Hay (primary corresponding author), Edward Fortson III, Lonnie Schaible, and Irshad Althaimer.

Personal Interests:

I am an outdoorsman. I enjoy fishing and hiking. I am a sports fan and enjoy muscle cars from the 1960's.
