Service on the Staff Senate is interesting and rewarding for classified staff members who want to make a difference in the lives of University staff. The Staff Senate enjoys the support and cooperation of the President of The University of Montana and his/her administration. Senators are actively involved in campus activities and University committees. Senators are granted release time to meet on the second Wednesday of each month from 10:00 a.m. to noon to attend Staff Senate meetings.

To become a senator, a candidate must have completed six months of continuous employment at The University of Montana on or before June 1 of the year in which his/her term shall begin.
