Internship Services, through cooperative education and internships, offers UM students an
opportunity to clarify careers goals, provide service to the community, and gain work
experience while earning academic credit. Internships are paid or volunteer work
opportunities, which integrate classroom theory with practical work experience. The
University of Montana’s program is flexible, serving undergraduates and graduate students
with a diversity of career interests and majors. Placements are for full-time or part-time,
and can be for one or more semesters.
Any paid or volunteer position which provides work experience related to your major
might be eligible for internship credit. Check with Internship Services for information and assistance.
Internship positions can be viewed by going to the Internship Services website
