Dance - Community - BFA Senior Project

The Senior Project is an off-campus, community-based project designed by individual BFA Dance majors. For the Senior Project, students choose to develop either a choreography/performance project or teaching project that is offered to the Missoula or greater Montana community.
 
Examples of past choreography/performance projects have included:
  • Presenting an individual or collaborative dance performance in the Missoula community
  • Presenting choreography at a gallery or at the Missoula Art Museum as part of the First Friday Art Walk
  • Presenting choreography for “First Night Missoula,” a family-friendly New Year's Eve event
  • Presenting choreography to support a non-profit organization
Examples of past teaching projects have included:
  • Offering a contemporary dance workshop to local or out-of-state dance studios
  • Offering creative movement workshops for children’s summer camps
  • Offering dance classes for at-risk youth
  • Offering dance classes for senior citizens
  • Offering dance classes for individuals with disabilities in group homes
