Mike’s background includes an MFA in Scenic and Lighting Design from The University of Montana along with an MS in Architectural Studies from the University of Utah. Recent scenic designs at UM include Eurydice, Guys and Dolls, and Tartuffe. He has designed regionally for the Bigfork Summer Playhouse, the Idaho Repertory Theatre, the Arizona Broadway Theatre, and for two national tours of the Montana Repertory Theatre (The Miracle Worker and The Trip to Bountiful). Mike currently serves as Chair for the Historic Preservation Commission for the city of Missoula and is involved with the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) as a member of their Board of Directors. His other responsibilities with USITT include serving on the Publications Committee, the Conference Committee, and acting as the Exhibit Project Coordinator for the USA entry for the 2011 Prague Quadrennial.
