Royce Aldridge

Royce Aldridge was an Upward Bound student for four years. He graduated from Great Falls High School in 1994. Neither of his parents attended college and wouldn't have continued his education had he not had the Upward Bound experience. “Upward Bound was the most influential force in my education. I wouldn't have attended college without it. I owe a lot to the program and I am thankful for the opportunities it afforded me.”
Royce attended the University of Montana from 1996 through 2002; earning a B.A. in English and a B.A. in History with teaching credentials in both areas. During his tenure at UM he served Upward Bound as a residential counselor for three summers and a teacher for one summer. He began his teaching career with Upward Bound and continues to teach in Nevada.
In the fall of 2006 Royce went on to earn his M.A. in Reading Instruction at Grand Canyon University. He plans to serve a lifetime in the classroom, encouraging students to achieve more than they thought possible for themselves.
