Ray Davis

Ray Davis

Ray Davis participated in Upward Bound from 2003 through 2006.  Upon graduation from Great Falls High School, Ray subsequently enrolled in the University of Montana.

A natural leader, Ray was elected as a student senator to the Associated Students of the University of Montana (ASUM)—the University’s governing student body.  While in college, Ray co-founded and co-chaired Montana Equality Now—a non-profit grassroots organization that focuses on raising awareness of important equality issues.  The organization boasts nation-wide attention for the success Ray framed in raising funds, promoting the organization’s efforts, and generating membership.

Ray graduated in 4 years from the University of Montana in May 2010 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a Minor in International Development Studies.  His achievement was all the more impressive considering his high grade point average, student service volunteer positions, and his sustained employment throughout college.

Compelled to build a stronger Missoula community, Ray is currently employed by Gateway Printing as a customer service representative and he serves on 3 boards—Montana Equality Now, National Coalition Building Institute, and New Leaders Council.  Each board position requires commitment, leadership, and vision.
