"Upward Bound gave me the opportunity to leave the reservation for six weeks in the summer. That short time away from the reservation helped ease the home-sick pangs and I benefited by being able to pursue two AA degrees out of state. I credit Upward Bound with helping me achieve all of my academic goals. Nema adds, I also felt welcomed back into the UB family by Jon Stannard and still treasure my UB memories as both a student and Program Coordinator."
