Faculty & Staff Advising Program (FASAP)

Faculty and qualified professionals across campus generously volunteer to advise students in the Undergraduate Advising Centers advising population. FASAP advisors receive training that covers General Education requirements and the use of the U of M Catalog and Schedule of Classes. Optional supplemental "roundtable" trainings are offered periodically to help boost advisor skills or to address changes that affect advising.p

Undergraduate Advising Center FASAP advisors have the opportunity to:

  • Meet new students
  • Participate in priority and late registration advising
  • Participate in summer orientation advising
  • Gain knowledge in the wide array of UM academic services
  • Learn more about the advising process at U of M
