Walk-In Advising The Undergraduate Advising Center (UNC) provides services for all undergraduate students on a walk-in basis. Walk-in advising is available Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during autumn and spring semesters (except during priority registration and breaks). Student Peer Advisors staff the center and are available to work with incoming students on a variety of advising issues. Professional staff advisors are also occasionally available to see students on a walk-in basis and are always available by appointment including summer. The UNC provides assistance with scheduling questions, General Education Requirements, graduation papers, major selection & changes, dropping/adding, petitions, and advising, including advising for transfer students. Walk-in advising is not a substitute for, but a complement to, major departmental advising. Please call (406) 243-2835 with any questions you may have about this service.
To receive a baccalaureate degree all students must successfully complete the general education requirements. Students who have completed an approved lower-division general education program at an approved Montana institution of higher education, refer to the General Education for Transfer Students. To process the Application for Graduation: Deadlines for applications: Students who are ready to declare a major, add a major, minor or option,
or change from one major to another must complete a “Degree/Major/Option
Change Form”. The forms are available outside Griz Central in
the Lommasson Center. Students must complete the form, obtain the designated
signatures from former and new majors, and return to the Registration
Counter in Griz Central. |
