Originally from Houston, Texas, I moved to Montana in 1991 to fulfill my dream of living and working in a beautiful state. I attended the University of Montana and graduated in 2006 with a K-12 Teaching License, BAs in Art Education and Psychology, and a Master's in Integrated Arts Education. And now I am working on a Master's in Counselor Education.

I began Upward Bound in summer, 2005, as the Program Assistant. Along the way, I have met many wonderful students and counselors in Upward Bound, as well as those from previous years who still love to drop in and say 'hi' to the program and people who made such a difference in their lives. I feel deep gratitude to work with a program so meaningful to students' personal lives as well as their educational opportunities.
