In the spring of 1999, I transferred to the University of Montana to study Spanish, Education, and Anthropology. It was the best decision I ever made. During my time as a student at UM, I obtained a top notch education and built friendships that will last a lifetime. In December of 2002, I graduated from UM with a Bachelors Degree in Spanish and Secondary Education and a minor in Anthropology.

I began working for Upward Bound in the summer of 2000 as a residential counselor. From that point on, I have been addicted to the Upward Bound spirit. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing students achieve their dreams. Furthermore, I enjoy learning from the diverse experiences and talents that everyone in the Upward Bound family has to offer. Currently, I serve as the UB Project Services Specialist. My main duties include curriculum development and tutoring the other students at Hellgate and Big Sky High Schools in Missoula.

I just completed my Master's Degree in Curriculum Studies from The University of Montana. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my son Elijah and visiting with friends and family.
